This cutting-edge apparatus is specifically designed to cater to the diagnosis and treatment of patients grappling with a spectrum of neurological disorders, encompassing both medical and surgical cases. It will entirely integrate into the hospital's operational workflows.
This state-of-the-art equipment boasts an impressive power of three high-field teslas, enhancing the capacity for early detection through high-resolution imaging and reduced examination durations. Dr Nahum Calvo, Clinical Director of Diagnostic Imaging at HUB, underscored the significance of this cutting-edge technology in expediting patient care.
Bellvitge University Hospital is recognised as a benchmark in Diagnostic Imaging, thanks to its first-class technological equipment. Its High Precision Diagnostic Centre, which has the first PET-MRI in the Spanish public health system, represents a paradigm shift in this field. Bellvitge is also at the forefront in obtaining imaging biomarkers through a radiomics project that incorporates Artificial Intelligence in diagnosis.
